Biography
Jude Atakora Tufuor holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of London, UK, a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Economic Law from the University of Warwick and a Master of Laws (LLM) in Professional Legal Skills from City University , UK specialising in International Trade Law. Jude was admitted to the English and Ghanaian bars in 2013 and 2014 respectively. He has been a Member of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn in the UK since 2009 and a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in London. He has immense expertise in banking and financial institutions, securities and commodities trading, international commercial sales, international arbitration and freight transport. Jude has represented Cocoa Marketing Company (GH) Limited (CMC) in international arbitrations and has been involved in the review and advising of Cocoa Marketing Company (GH) Limited in connection with its US$1.3 billion syndicated loan for the 2017/18 cocoa production season. He is currently a part-time lecturer at the Central University of Ghana and teaches commercial law. He has written articles on syndicated loans relating to the cocoa industry in Ghana, the sale of goods, bills of lading and admissible evidence.
